"First time visit We ordered 5 food and basically all tasty. Beef brisket was hard to chew and a bit salty. However, fried rice was great combination with beef brisket (good match) Beef Hofan was really great! Restaurant was clean and felt comfortable (except pigeon was flying ) Friendly staff I can't wait to visit again to try another food!"

"My favourite restaurant to go to whenever I crave Cantonese cuisine they are authentic and yummy. Whenever I miss Hong Kong, I visit Hong Kong Lane in Chermside Westfield. My favourite drinks are the signature lemon tea (both iced and hot, which are good) and BBQ pork dry noodles. If you come with friends, I suggest ordering soup dumplings and Peking ducks (they have one/two-course options). The staff is super friendly and helpful if you need suggestions or assistance. Plenty of seats available with HK traditional decoration style, but please be aware that it gets really crowded during weekends."

"Felt like some proper Asian food while in Chermside and this was very much like the old days of Hong Kong. The roast combo was really tasty as was the Yangzhou Fried Rice. It did take a bit of time for the roast combo and we wanted duck but was told it would take 20 mins so we changed to fried chicken but that even took 15 mins."

"Love it! The food is absolutely delicious. Roasted meat and egg tart are very authentic hk style. Especially the roast duck is tender and flavorful, with the perfect crispy skin. I would rate the roasted duck as Brisbane #1. Xiao long bao and classic beef brisket stone pot are not bad too. Friendly service and clean environment."

The service is consistently warm, attentive, and professional, contributing to a very comfortable dining experience. The food is well prepared and consistently executed. The xiao long bao is a particular highlight — the filling carries a subtle wine aroma that adds depth and complexity to the overall flavour. The San Choy Bau are another dish I enjoy; they are fresh, well-balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, this is a reliable dining option with friendly service and satisfying food, and one I am always happy to return."

"One of my favourite spots to eat at Chermside! Hong Kong Lane is tucked away in the Laneway on Level 2, and it’s such a gem. The food is always fresh, full of flavour, and super satisfying — I’ve tried the roast pork, char siu, and crispy duck, and honestly, they nail it every time. Portions are generous, the rice is fluffy, and the crackling on the pork? Next level. Service is quick and friendly, and even when they’re busy, things still run smoothly. It’s also a great spot to sit outdoors and enjoy the vibe of the Laneway dining area. If you’re after legit Hong Kong-style eats at a decent price, definitely give this place a go. I keep coming back for a reason!"
